♥ thank you! ♥

That was awesome!

Shout out to:

  • Bee and Sabre for helping out with the Instagram, setup, packdown and other on-the-day logistics;
  • Every single stallholder, including the ones who had to pull out because there were just too many Pride events they were committed to;
  • Gina from Rampant Coffee Co and Moana from Auckland Council for being the ultimate GCs, along with the rest of their crew
  • Baby Zionov for DJing a four hour (!!!) set which provided the perfect backdrop for chill conversations and art appreciation
  • All of you who showed up!

Thank you! This couldn’t have happened without any of you.

If you want to see more like this, check out the regular Fresh Finds markets in the same place, and stay tuned!

You can follow this site to get email updates when there’s a new post (which’ll be an announcement of the next market).

As an aside, a few of you asked if we could make this a biannual thing, not just during Pride. It’s possible, but it’d require someone else to step up to help organise – my day job won’t allow the spare time I had this summer over the winter!

If you’d like to help out, hit me up through the volunteer form or at email@goblins.download 🙂

stall holder spotlight: Tove & Hunter

Tove and her genderqueer kid Hunter will be selling some cool DIY patches and zines. Hunter’s zine is about their experience being a genderqueer kid. The Guerilla Gardening zine is a collaborative work between Tove and Hunter, Tove doing the writing, and Hunter doing the illustrations. Tove will also be selling beautiful hand sewn clothing and traditional pockets because she says “So many awesome clothes throughout history have had no pockets, so I’m bringing back the historic solution!”

stall holder spotlight: Sani

Sani is a excitable, experimental human, constantly chasing the tingle in the back of your eyeballs when colour is just slightly too bright and jarring.

They try to spread radical kindness, and disintergrate self shame through humor.

They mess around with comic zines, prints, art dolls, one off jewelry and wild handpainted clothing, and a whole lot more!

stall holder spotlight: Tempest

Tempest is a bubbly hurricane of colour and darkness. Her work focuses on disturbing people and breaking boundaries. She loves using bright happy colours as well as dark and down right gorey.

With things like 4 eyed blue cats and naked body’s stuck together with bloody goo Tempest’s work caters to everyone’s strange needs. Tempest works in many mediums but mainly focuses on digital, acrylic and watercolour.

Welcome to her corner of strange.
